Honky Tonkin' Bluegrass From Seattle!

We play the music we love from the early days of Bluegrass and mix it up with Honky Tonk, Old Time Country, and original songs and tunes. Founded in 2008, The Howdy Boys is a meeting of the minds; four musical brothers, picking with the passion and energy to make the music sound as though it was written just yesterday.

"The Howdy Boys are the real deal in entertainment. They paid attention to every detail of presenting a great show. From Reno & Smiley to original and personal songs about the roads they traveled to get where they are now,
they told the story of music in America."

"The Howdy Boys - WOW!! It was my first time to hear them and I thoroughly enjoyed their performance. Although they fit quite nicely in the "traditional" box, they are so much more. A bit of Western Swing, some Buck Owens, a touch of the blues, and a whole lot of bluegrass. Fun, FUN, FUN!! Awfully nice guys, too.I was impressed on all sorts of levels."

Welcome Jason Stewart to The Howdy Boys

Picture

After three exciting years building our sound with his fantastic banjo playing and good humor, Bill Scott has decided to move on. We are going to miss you, Bill. Thanks so much for everything you've done. It's been a pleasure and an honor.

We are thrilled that Jason Stewart, formerly of Prairie Flyer and many other bands, has agreed to step up and fill the banjo spot with his finely crafted, energetic banjo style. Jason currently performs and teaches in the Puget Sound area, and is a fine singer as well. We are looking forward to performing with Jason!
